Lauren Sheridan and her four year old daughter, Hannah, have moved back to her hometown of Wildcat Bluff, Texas after the death of her husband. As soon as she gets to town, she runs into her teenage love/firefighter/rancher, Kent Duval. Now, don’t be fooled by the title of this book. Kent Duval is the blazing, hot cowboy but this story is sincerely a sweet love story. Lauren and Kent are both volunteer firefighters and they fight hard to recapture that delightful love that they have never lost for each other. Hannah is a spunky, lovable character as she twirls and spins into everyone’s heart. Author, Kim Redford has a knack for developing rich characters and realistic moments. All of the love scenes are tastefully done and are a reminder to those writers who think graphic sex is always necessary to get the point across. I loved the book and give kudos to the author for her wonderful story. If you love horses, cowboys, Texas, firefighters, precocious little girls or a sweet contemporary love story, then this is the book for you! I give this book a five-star rating!
