Mason Decker is a tough lawman with experience who wants to become a U.S. Marshal. He keeps getting rejected and wonders if he is being called to the U.S. Marshals Service to be turned down again. Instead, he is offered a position in a joint task force to stop diamond smugglers. He is teamed up with Charlie Cahill with the U.S. Attorneys office. Charlie is a smart, confident attorney who wants to use the task force to prove herself further. The story is fast and furious, twisting and turning! I really enjoyed the characters and the story line. The story has lots of suspense and explosively hot scenes with Mason and Charlie. A great read for anyone who likes suspenseful, contemporary romance.
