The story of Cheyenne hunters/warriors and their quest for food and water during a very dry summer. There are also the problems that arise with tribal hierarchy and leadership. It’s a coming of age story with lots of stereotypical Native American assumptions. The story was a bit bland for me and I would have preferred fewer main characters.
