Lisa Scottoline hits another “home run” with this fast-paced thriller, One Perfect Lie. Chris Brennan begins the story when he applies for a teaching position at a Pennsylvania high school using a false name and false documents. It was so creepy to me as he cons the principal of the school into hiring him and befriends three young men on the baseball team. The story jumps into separate stories about the three men’s families and continues to whip around and twist until the end. I was so on edge reading this story as it brought me up and down the emotional roller coaster. I love Lisa Scottoline and her witty, down-to-earth demeanor that builds deep and engaging characters. Her writing style is so smart and thrilling, I always feel like I need to rest when I finish one of her books! If you haven’t read one of Ms. Scottoline’s books, make sure that you read this one! If you have read her books, make sure that you read this one! Three cheers to Lisa Scottoline for her excellent thrillers that appeal to so many readers!
