Graciela and her friend are attending a wake for a friend who has passed away from a freak accident when the two widows decide that at age 35 they should be enjoying their lives and having fun. They decide to attend a pleasure club that night to begin Graciela’s fun. It’s been ten years since her husband died and she is horrified by the things taking place at the club. She also sees her adult step-son and his best friend, Colin. Colin comes to her rescue and the rest of the story is a delightful read! I found the characters to be engaging and fun. The plot moved rapidly and successfully. I finished the book in literally one sitting (couldn’t put it down) and think that it is a wonderful new addition to the historical romance genre.
