This contemporary romance takes place on an island off the coast of Scotland, Flora runs a small cafe and has decided that Joel, an ex-boss of hers is who she loves. Joel works so hard as an attorney and never seems to stay in one place very long, including at Flora’s side. Flora’s brother is in love with Joel’s employer and her best friend is crazy about the new doctor who is trying to find the family that he left behind in Syria. The story-lines all revolve around a cast of quirky characters and ever-changing situations. A solid read that that is quite enjoyable!
