Miriam finally arrives in Wyoming to take a job as a nurse with Dr. Gideon MacNamara. It was arranged by an agency and Miriam is so happy to finally get away from her old life in the East. As soon as she reaches the town, the whole population in town is gathered to see her marriage to the doctor. She refuses the marriage and finds the doctor agreeing to her “only” being a nurse for him. She remains with Gideon and finds that sometimes redemption is hard to get, especially when your past life catches up with you. Good historical romance with solid characters and a bone-chilling story (Miriam’s past.)
