The Heart of a Sinner is a sweet taste of family, love and one of my favorite places, New Orleans, Louisiana! I loved the heartwarming story of the Sinner football player, Matt Keaton, whose wife is killed and their child is born all in the same day. He is helped though this tragedy by a pediatric nurse, Annie Billodeaux. He and Annie fight for his son’s life while healing his own and they become closer through it all. I absolutely loved Ms. Shurr’s delightful descriptions of New Orleans, it’s lush landmarks, food and ambiance! Calling the football team, Sinners had me smiling from the beginning! I thought this book was a treasure and will have many readers enjoying the deep characters and engaging story! For all these reasons, I give this book 5 well-deserved stars!
